Older baby milestone sessions, like the 'sitter session' are photoshoots highlighting pivotal moments in your baby's life, such as when they can sit up. This milestone varies amongst babies; some achieve it at 5 months, some at 8 months - everyone is unique. However, you don't need to wait for your little one to sit up to capture memorable images. Other celebratory occasions such as tummy time or displaying big, beaming smiles are wonderful moments that can be commemorated through portraits.

The 'Mummy and Me' session is another lovely way to capture the bond you share with your baby. Part of the 'Bump to Baby' packages, a sitter session is an excellent opportunity to celebrate your baby's progress and emerging personality—which often shines bright during this period. These sessions can also be booked separately, perfect for commemorating any of your baby's latest milestones.

What to expect during your session

Your milestone session takes place in my warm, welcoming Fair Oak studio, where we'll spend 1-2 relaxed hours capturing your little one's growing personality. These active sessions flow with your baby's natural rhythms, including time for feeds, cuddles, and those inevitable moments when they need a break to reset.

Dress everyone in comfortable, neutral-toned clothing (avoiding patterns and logos) that allows for easy movement. Pack a spare outfit for your little one - those adorable expressions sometimes come with messy surprises! And don't forget to bring water and snacks to keep your own energy up.

These portraits are about celebrating your whole family's story. I encourage siblings, parents, and yes - even your four-legged family members to join in! Well-behaved pets are always welcome, adding their own special dynamic to your family portraits. Some of the most heartwarming images capture those natural interactions between babies and their furry siblings.
